USE OF BUILDING GUIDELINES & RENTAL RATES AS OF APRIL 1, 2025
Sanctuary/
Concert Space
The Sanctuary is located on the main floor and since the primary use of this room is worship, we ask that all groups respect the reverence felt for this area. Including the balcony area the seating capacity would comfortably seat 285 people, has fantastic acoustics,3 large screens for visuals, a grand piano and an organ.
Concerts – Per event or day and includes the use of the Fellowship Hall. - $350.00 per Day
Piano and/or organ is included, but subject to billing for damages. If the piano or organ is used, it must be operated by a qualified organist, and permission of the church Music Director must be obtained beforehand. The use of the Sound System, with Technician is available at a rate of $25.00/hour.
Board Room
$30.00 per hour
The Boardroom is located on the second floor accessible by stairs or a lift. Furnished with comfortable chairs, and a large table, this area also includes a kitchen area equipped with a mini refrigerator, kettle, coffee machine, sink, microwave, dishes etc. The use of dishes, coffee pots, and other kitchen equipment subject to billing for damages. Groups are responsible for washing and putting away any equipment used.
Gym, Kitchen/Dining Room
Full Day $300.00
Half Day $200.00
The Gym. Certified Kitchen/Dining Room area are alllocated on the lower level, accessible by stairs or lift. The kitchen includes two ranges, one gas the other electric, a full size refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher etc. Kitchen equipment subject to damages.
If playing a sport in the gym, proper footwear must be worn at all times and proper equipment (i.e. Non-marking floor hockey sticks) must be used.
Weddings, Funerals, Celebrations of Life ( Religious or Secular)

Gym
Full Day $220
Half Day $120 or $60 per hr
The gym is located on the lower level and is accessible by stairs or a lift. Use of the gym does not include the use of the kitchen or kitchen equipment unless prior arrangements have been made. An additional charge will apply. If playing a sport, proper footwear must be worn at all times and proper equipment (i.e. Non-marking floor hockey sticks) must be used.
Fellowship Hall
$40.00 per hour
Located on the main floor adjacent to the Sanctuary, this space includes a Servery complete with dishwasher, kettles, coffee machines, dishes etc. Also features a Kids Zone area with toys, games etc. Tables and chairs are available.
Kitchen/Dining Room
Full Day $220.00
Half Day $120.00 or $60 per Hr
The Certified Kitchen/Dining Room area is located on the lower level, accessible by stairs or lift. Includes two ranges, one gas the other electric, a full size refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher etc. Rental of this area does not include the gym but does include the use of dishes, coffee pots, and other kitchen equipment subject to billing for damages. Groups are responsible for washing and putting away any equipment used.
Meeting Rooms
$30.00 per hour
Three meeting rooms are available located on the main floor, upper and lower level..
Proof of Liability Insurance in the amount of at least $2,000,000 must be provided BEFORE the use of any of our church spaces. Small groups or private parties (i.e Birthday parties, family celebrations) can obtain third party liability through their home property insurer, naming Central United Church as Additional Insured or use Duuo Insurance which can be obtained online. Duuo is is underwritten by Cooperators Ins. Company, and we have partnered with them to obtain discounted rates for our rentals. A certificate of insurance naming Central United Church as Additional Insured must be provided in both instances. Duuo sends us a certificate directly when you purchase online.
The Church Use Policy and Fee Schedule includes for profit and not for profit organizations. Groups associated with the Ministry and Outreach of the Church, such as Alanon, AA Groups etc. are not included on this schedule, but are still responsible for following the rules and regulations of the building use.
In the event of a Funeral, Central United Church has the right to cancel all events that are scheduled on the day of the Funeral.

2. A fee for set-up or clean-up will be charged at a rate of $25.00/hour
3. A deposit of $25.00 for the building key is required and will be refunded upon return of the key.
4. If use of the handicap lift is required for an event, there will be a charge of $25.00 for the lift operators. (Please inquire if this is required for your rental.)
5. All groups are responsible for turning off lights and securing the building when they leave.
6. Smoking, Vaping and illegal use of drugs are prohibited in the church building, church parking lot, and church green spaces.
7. Unlicensed Alcoholic beverages are prohibited. If alchohol is to be served at an event, a copy of a ‘Special Occasion Permit’ must be provided along with the proper insurance coverage. Smart Serve Certification is required for the serving and sale of alchoholic beverages at any event held in church spaces.
Central United Church reserves the right to refuse any request to use the church facilities, and to request that any group cease to use the church facilities.
