Homelessness is not just a problem of larger cities like London. The problem exists in St. Thomas and Elgin County. There are many local agencies that offer support to the homeless, but for a variety of reasons the homeless cannot always go to these agencies. Central United Church makes their basement area available for the Inn Out of the Cold program from October to April. Hot meals are provided along with a safe, clean, warm place to sleep. Shower and laundry facilities are also available.
