Central United Church is a "Blue Umbrella " church approved and trained by the Alzheimers Society to provide a friendly, safe and understanding community for those with dementias.

Tweens & Teens have their own Sunday School room and choose their own projects and missions they wish to support. Activities and outside trips are also a part of their curriculum.
The Senior and Junior Choirs under the musical direction of Lauri Ladd strive to embrace an upbeat and eclectic mix of music along with the well loved traditional. Homelessness is not just a problem of larger cities like London. The problem exists in St. Thomas and Elgin County. There are many local agencies that offer support to the homeless, but for a variety of reasons the homeless cannot always go to these agencies. Central United Church makes their basement area available for the Inn Out of the Cold program from October to April. Hot meals are provided along with a safe, clean, warm place to sleep. Shower and laundry facilities are also available.
