Central Academy of Music
Not many people realize that St. Thomas Central Academy of Music
formed when the Alma College Music School suddenly closed in September of
1994. That closing left twenty music teachers and 200 music students with no
place for their musical instruments or to give lessons. Central United Church
was chosen from several suggested sites and with the blessing of the
congregation, music was soon echoing through the halls of Central United
Church and continues to this day!
